Hi, I am Lisa

Seeds for Hope is owned and operated by Lisa Ransome, Psychologist and Director, and was established in 2020. I established Seeds for Hope on the background of personal and professional knowledge of the challenges and heartache, which can arise during our lives as we transition, toward, through, or away from hoped for parenthood.

Throughout our lives, most of us envisage how our future families will look. However, we don’t envisage this as being a time where we might experience infertility, loss, trauma, or mental health and wellbeing difficulties. Seeds for Hope has been established with these challenges in mind, to provide a safe, compassionate and professional space to explore grief, loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and the adjustment which comes with these experiences. We also offer treatment and intervention for mental health and wellbeing outside the perinatal and reproductive spaces.

The world of reproduction and perinatal health is filled with statistics, which can lead you to feeling overwhelmed and “just another number” in the world. I aim to support you through your individual experience of infertility, loss and parenthood. To reduce your experience of feeling like a statistic, reconnecting with yourself as a person and individual, and navigating what can be incredibly challenging and overwhelming experiences.

I bring to this space an extensive history of working people – individuals, couples, and families - across a diverse range of ages, diagnoses, and backgrounds. I have worked in Public Mental Health, NGO’s and private practice since 2010 in NSW and Victoria, and with telehealth services, now across Australia. My practice is informed by multiple therapeutic interventions theories and practices (ACT, CBT & DBT), and would be classified as “eclectic” and follows the needs of the person in the room with me.

I have completed, and continue to complete training both in Australia and across the world to increase knowledge, broadly in the field of psychology, but also in the areas of reproductive and perinatal psychological frameworks and interventions, for best outcomes for you.
